For those of you that have been asking about where the cars went from our dealership, the following police blotter is about the husband and wife team who were selling the cars there for us, as private contractors under a DBA.

"Robert D. Griswold, 31, of Parish and Jessica R. Mozo, 26, of Parish were each charged with three felony counts: grand larceny; scheme to defraud; and falsifying business records for an incident in the town of New Haven first reported Oct. 14."

The thefts from myself and several unsuspecting defrauded clients have been so extensive (note the severity of the charges) that I am effectively out of business, and have had to sell many personal items (April's car, my personal car, my racecar, trailer, etc,) and reassess everything about our financial position - present and future.

I'm not posting this for sympathy or comments. More importantly, I find it NECESSARY to clear the air and suppress the rumors about why the cars are gone. Many people have asked what was going on, and my competition has been reportedly telling untruths about our dealership.

Thanks to a supportive and hardworking wife, as well as extensive support from our family and friends, I have come to the conclusion that we will survive this most trying and life-altering time of our professional lives. It changes the way we look at everything from here forward, and will be a very difficult time for us for the next several months, due to impending court and legal procedures.

What is the future of Andrews Auto Inc.? That is a very difficult question to answer at this time. After 25 years of business (est. 1986) it would be a shame to end Andrews Auto Inc. in this manner. The coming months will dictate how - or if - we continue.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support, and don't doubt that way down the road we will be okay - and tougher - from this travesty.

First lesson: be VERY selective about who you choose to trust or help out.
