Jay and April Andrews first started Andrews Auto Parts in 1986 at the age of 21, when they purchased Jerrett’s Auto Parts from Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame member Fred Graves. Located at 3297 Main St. in Mexico, N.Y., Andrews Auto later expanded to Andrews Auto Parts and Service in 1990, when the auto service department was opened at the same location. Auto sales were added in 1991 as a sideline, on a very limited basis.
In February of 2000, the auto parts division of Andrews Auto, Inc. was sold to John Washer, a long time employee at Andrews Auto Parts. At this time, the auto sales division was expanded, with an auxiliary lot added at 5895 Scenic Ave. As the used auto inventory was increased, an Oswego location was added in 2002. After losing our lease in Oswego to the new "Lowes" development, we moved back to Mexico, with the sales lot at the Scenic Ave. location. In March of 2007, we moved to New Haven, N.Y., at 4407 St. Rt. 104. Look for many changes and improvements in New Haven, as we've got some great plans for 2010 and beyond! Our specialty has been finding the best deals around on four wheel drive trucks, although we have great deals on all types of vehicles, including SUV's and minivans.
